General
Information
Destination - Queenstown
Queenstown is part of the Central
Otago region and boasts some of the most dramatic breathtaking scenery
nestled on the shores of Lake Wakatipu and overlooked by the majestic
Remarkables Range. Queenstown was so named because '...it was
fit for Queen Victoria' - certainly it's lived up to that
expectation. Today it’s an invigorating alpine
resort perfect for all.

With the first
snowfall of winter
Queenstown shrugs off its red and gold autumn leaves and turns into an
alpine playground. Yet it isn’t all snowboards and
ski boots… with many local wines frequently winning awards
the wine region is becoming one of the fastest growing in New
Zealand. On the lake there’s the beautifully
restored vintage TSS Earnslaw steamer plus all year trout and salmon
fishing, there’s award-winning golf courses and the gondola
to Bob’s Peak. Finally Queenstown is the world
capital home of bungy jumping so if you are feeling
adventurous……
