Shotover Jet

Tours:
Tuesday 14 August 2pm

Cost: NZ$109.00 per person

Meet at: The Millennium Hotel Foyer

Nothing you have experienced will have you prepared for the thrill and excitement of a Shotover Jet ride; it's an adrenaline rush you'll never forget!  From the moment the accelerator hits the floor your adrenaline hits the roof as you speed in mere centimetres of water along the famous Shotover River and deep into the spectacular Shotover River Canyons.

Studies have shown a good thrill livens up your system, waking up dormant biochemical pathways that refresh, relieve stress and heal.  You experience a sense of euphoria and well being as your brain receives a welcome cocktail of oxygen, sugar, adrenaline, cortisol and endorphins.  The result — a natural high that makes you feel great!

NZL 14 America’s Cup Sailing Experience

Tours:
Tuesday 14 August 11am

Cost: NZ$150.00 per person

Meet at: The Millennium Hotel Foyer

Be Part Of New Zealand’s America’s Cup History and take part in one of the most exciting activities available in Queenstown.  You can join the crew and get involved or just sit back and relax.

Once off the dock, NZL 14 motors out past the historic white beacon at the entrance to Queenstown Bay.  When clear of the reef, a grinding team is called upon to hoist the mainsail, 115ft to the top of the carbon fibre mast.  The headsail is then hoisted and NZL 14 sails through the waters of Lake Wakatipu, with breathtaking sights of the rugged mountain ranges.  There is plenty of time to enjoy the stunning scenery and experience the magic of sailing onboard a grand prix racing yacht. A privilege that is usually reserved for yachting greats.

NZ versus Australia
From: The Courier-Mail May 19, 2007

ASK a Kiwi about skiing in Australia and they'll laugh from the belly. One look at the big mountain peaks of New Zealand's Southern Alps and Australians know why.

But while 50,000 Aussies cross the Tasman to schuss the slopes each winter, few New Zealanders come our way. Those Kiwis haven't done their figures.

Australia has the longest ski run in Australasia, a 5.9km run at Thredbo in New South Wales. It also has the largest commercial ski area in Australasia, Perisher Blue's 1245 hectares across seven peaks.
