Manapouri Power Station Day Trip (NZ$162.00) - FULL
Buses depart from hotel
entrance at 10.00am, arrive Manapouri midday.
Catamaran
to West Arm Hydro Power Station which is New Zealand’s
largest
electric power station and it is unique that nearly all of it is built
underground. You will then take part in an escorted tour and
talk
by Tim Rumball from Meridian Energy on ‘Safety
Issues”.
Return to Queentown by 6.00pm

Visit 1 – Coronet Peak Ski Field (NZ$109.00)
Coronet
Peak is the South Island’s most popular ski area and the
training
ground of the New Zealand’s National Ski Team.
Learn more
about the dangers a ski enthusiast can face when on a ski field.
Worksite Visit 2
– Millbrook Golf Course (NZ$120.00)
This
18-hole, par 72 championship course was designed by renowned
professional and master golfer, Sir Bob Charles. On this
visit
you will learn more from the Club professionals about how the course
was created amongst the dramatic terrain, alpine amphitheatre and The
Remarkables mountain range.
Worksite Visit 3 - Gibbston Valley Winery
Visit (NZ$98.00)
Explore
the fast growing wine area of Gibbston Valley where the
region’s
first commercial wine was produced in 1987. On this visit you
will learn why winemaking at 45 south is an adventurous business, due
to high altitude vineyards, cold winters, hot dry summers and the huge
day to night temperature ranges.
Worksite Visit 4 - TSS Earnslaw Trip to Walter Peak
Station (NZ$82.00)
The
TSS Earnslaw has been transporting goods to remote settlements on Lake
Wakatipu since 1912 find how why she is one of the last remaining coat
fired passenger carrying vessels in the southern hemisphere.
This
visit then continues to Walter Peak High Country Farm where
you’ll learn about traditional farming practices and the
significance of the various animals on such a farm.
Return to
Queenstown by 4.00pm.
