Dr Joe Gammon - Current Role: Education and Research

Summary
A 'bi-lingual' technical and commercial manager.
Roles at a senior management level have leveraged a doctorate-
level education to quickly establish credibility and rapport when
managing technical teams with multiple disciplines.
Experienced predominantly in the clean energy sector in university, start-up and blue
chip organisations. Roles and objectives are typically open-ended and ambiguous
requiring significant interpretation, a multi-discipline team approach, autonomous
execution and with budget authority.
Achieving these objectives requires a high degree of analytical thinking, strong business
acumen and frequently a long-term strategic approach. Proven ability to communicate
and present results within and across organisations at all levels from technician to CEO.

knowledge of engineering and IT. Strong record in leading cross-discipline teams at all
phases from start-up to blue chip operations.

Diana G. Oblinger, Ph.D.
Dr. Diana G. Oblinger is President and CEO of EDUCAUSE, a nonprofit association whose mission is
to advance higher education through the use of information technology. Previously, Oblinger held
positions in both academia and business.
Since joining EDUCAUSE, Oblinger has become known for innovative product and services growth as
well as international outreach. She created the EDUCAUSE Learning Initiative (ELI), known for its
leadership in teaching, learning, and technology innovation and also initiated EDUCAUSE’s first fully
online events and its e-book series, including the e-books Educating the Net Generation and Game
Changers. She led the creation of the Next Generation Learning Challenges, a $30M program
sponsored by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation that focuses on improving college readiness and
completion through information technologies.
Oblinger has served on a variety of boards and currently serves on the American Council on Education (ACE) board. She is a
frequent keynote speaker and author or editor of numerous books and articles on higher education and technology. She has
received outstanding teaching and research awards, was named Young Alumnus of the Year by Iowa State University, and holds
three honorary degrees. She is a graduate of Iowa State University (Bachelors, Masters, and PhD).
Dr Catherine Savage - Te Tapuae o Rehua
EdD, PG Dip Ed Psych, MEd (Ed Psych), Dip Tchg
Catherine (Ngāi Tahu) is the Kaihautū, Chief Executive at Te Tapuae o Rehua, a partnership between
shareholders Christchurch Polytechnic Institute of Technology, Lincoln University, Otago Polytechnic,
Te Rūnanga o Ngāi Tahu, the University of Canterbury and the University of Otago. She is a registered
psychologist and has worked as a classroom teacher, an educational psychologist and university
lecturer. Her research has focused primarily on culturally responsive pedagogy and positive
behavioural interventions for Māori learners.
Catherine was part of the Victoria University research team that evaluated Te Kotahitanga (2010), Hui
Whakatika (2011) and delivered the professional development programme, Effective Intervention for Challenging Behaviour
(EICB). In her current role Catherine led the 2011 TToR strategy review, which is responsible for initiatives such as He Toki Ki Te
Rika (Maori trade training) and Mau Ki Te Ako (Professional Learning for Teachers) with partner Institutions.
