We would like to invite and welcome you to the annual Australasian Society for Phycology and Aquatic Botany (ASPAB) meeting to be held in Wellington New Zealand from Oct. 28th to Oct. 30th.

This will be held at the NIWA (National Institute of Water and Atmospheric Research) facility, Greta Point, Wellington.

The meeting will coincide with the ICHA (International Congress on Harmful Algae) also held in Wellington (27-31 Oct.). Our meeting will be separate but will continue on the ICHA free half-day (Wednesday afternoon) for people who are going to ICHA but plan to attend our meeting or give a presentation at ASPAB.

The ice-breaker is planned for the evening of the 28th, and the presentations will be on the 29th and 30th.

The meeting is especially geared toward students and their participation. The society has money for travel for  eligible students. Eligible student members can apply to the Society for assistance with travel funds – see http://aspab.org for more information.

FURTHER details (accommodations, transport, etc) will be posted on the website soon (www.aspab.org).
