We acknowledge that Christchurch experienced a strong shake (M5.7) on the 14th February 2016 and would like to advise that planning for the conference remains unchanged. Damage from the event was in most cases minimal due to the extensive work done to strengthen buildings and infrastructure over the last 5 years. Safety considerations are paramount in the running of the conference and tours and we are ensuring that all venues have safety procedures in place in the unlikely event of an aftershock during the conference.
