SCIRT Value Manager
Rod is an experienced Project Director and Manager who has been
part of the rebuild in Canterbury since September 2010, was Leader
of the Infrastructure Rebuild Management Office for Christchurch
City Council from December 2010 to February 2011 and then moved
to support the creation of the organisation that became SCIRT,
taking up the Value Manager role within the Management Team.
Rod will describe the fundamental drivers for the formation of SCIRT,
its structure, functions, systems and the delivery achieved to date.
He will put the case that the SCIRT model is entirely fit for purpose
and is one that can be packaged for use in other infrastructure
disaster rebuilds here and internationally.
Peter Kinley
SCIRT Asset Investigation Data Manager
Peter is a Three Waters Planning Engineer, with over fifteen years of
experience in operations, design, networking planning, and
hydrological and hydraulic modelling in New Zealand and Australia. He
is one of nearly two hundred professional engineers working within
SCIRT. His role has involved combining geospatial analysis, statistical
modelling and optimisation methods to assist with understanding the
impacts of the Canterbury Earthquakes on the wastewater and
stormwater pipe networks in Christchurch.
The asset assessment team has developed a pipe damage
assessment tool that has resulted in saving many millions of dollars in
the programme and Peter will describe the creation, function and
output of the tool.
