Judith Finn
PhD,MEdStudies, GradDipPH, BSc, DipAppSc(Nsg), RN, RM, ICCert.

Judith has recently moved from Perth to take up a position in Adelaide as the Professor(Research) in the School of Nursing & Midwifery at the University of South Australia.  For many years Judith worked as a critical care registered nurse and nursing academic, before undertaking postgraduate qualifications in clinical epidemiology.  Her areas of research interest include: cardiovascular epidemiology (including cardiac arrest), patient outcomes after critical illness, and cardiac arrest prevention / management (in-hospital and out-of-hospital).
 
Judith is a member of the ILCOR  ‘EIT’ (Education, Implementation &Teams) Taskforce and participated in the recent 2010 International Consensus on CPR and ECC Science Conference, in Dallas.  She is a passionate advocate of evidence-based practice and as such the need for good quality research to address the many gaps in knowledge in resuscitation, including the best educational strategies to maximise  competence in BLS/ALS.

Professor Jacobs is also a member of the Editorial Board for the journal Resuscitation, Section Editor – Pre-hospital Care - for the journal Emergency Medicine and Associate Editor Journal of Emergency Primary Health Care.  Professor Jacobs was also a member of the international editorial board for Guidelines 2000, 2005 and 2010 – An international consensus on the science of CPR.  Professor Jacobs has served on numerous state and national committees and has published over 100 peer reviewed papers and technical repord


Jerry Nolan FRCA FCEM FRCP

Jerry Nolan is a consultant in anaesthesia and intensive care medicine at the Royal United Hospital, Bath, UK. He trained at Bristol Medical School, qualifying in 1983. He undertook anaesthesia and critical care training in the UK in Plymouth, Bristol, Bath, Southampton and in the United States at the Shock Trauma Center, Baltimore.

Jerry is Co-chairman, International Liaison Committee on Resuscitation (ILCOR); Immediate Past Chairman of the Resuscitation Council (UK); a board member of the European Resuscitation Council and is Editor-in-Chief, of the journal Resuscitation. Jerry’s research interests are in airway management, cardiopulmonary resuscitation, therapeutic hypothermia, and life support course development.
