The International Sedimentological Congress will be held at Tākina Convention & Exhibition Centre

Sitting at the heart of Wellington’s cultural precinct, Tākina is the capital’s newest premium conference and exhibition space, opening in mid-2023.

Inspired by Wellington’s dramatic landscape and environment, Tākina means to “invoke” which reflects the city as a place people come together to talk and think.

Providing 10,000sqm of multi-purpose conference and exhibition space over two floors, Tākina is thoughtfully designed with the ultimate experience in mind. It balances flexibility and functionality with stunning food and beverage that showcase the region, cutting-edge contemporary design, and panoramic views over the city and Wellington Harbour.

Situated across the road from Museum of New Zealand Te Papa Tongarewa and in the heart of the vibrant capital, it’s a short walk from eateries and accommodation and just a 15-minute drive from the airport.
