Concrete NZ 2024 Call for Papers

The Concrete NZ Conference 2024 organising committee invite you to submit an abstract for consideration and inclusion in the technical programme. The technical programme will include a combination of international and local speakers covering a range of topics relating to construction, design and materials.

- Abstract submission opens: February 2024
- Abstract submission deadline:
27 March 202412 April 2024 - Author notification of acceptance: 17 May 2024
- Full paper submission deadline: 28 June 2024
There are two options available when submitting an abstract:
- An abstract for the standard presentation session | 17min + 3min Q&A
- An abstract for the "Lightning Talk" session | max. 5min
Topics for Submission
Submissions are encouraged related to the following topics. However, as the technical programme will be driven by you, the delegates, submissions under other related topics will also be considered.

- Concrete Technology & Materials
- Design Trends
- Other
Format of Abstract Submission
- Abstracts to be submitted in English
- Submissions should be no more than 300 words
- You will be required to enter in the author/co-authors and affiliations separately during the submission process
- You will be required to enter a bio/career history for the Presenting Author/s (max. 100 words each)
- If you are submitting on behalf of the Presenter/s, please have their email address/s ready to include in the submission
IMPORTANT: Once you have completed your submission, you will receive a confirmation email. If you do not receive this confirmation email, we have NOT received your submission. Please remember to check your spam/junk folders and contact the conference organisers should you need assistance at [email protected].
General Information
Review and Notification to Authors
All completed abstract submissions will be reviewed. Authors will be notified by 17 May 2024 regarding preliminary acceptance of their abstract. Full paper submissions will be requested for accepted abstracts.
Full paper submissions will be due by 28 June 2024. Thereafter you will be advised regarding the final allocation of your presentation in the programme.
Technical Paper Submissions
Full paper submissions will be due by 28 June 2024. Papers will need to be submitted using the Concrete NZ 2024 template, this, along with a presenter information kit, will accompany the preliminary acceptance notification to authors of accepted abstracts on 6 May 2024.
Once technical papers have been reviewed, before the end of July 2024, you will be advised regarding the final allocation of your presentation in the programme.
Registration
All presenters are required to register and pay the registration fee in order to be included in the programme and to present in person at the event. Registration and payment of registration fee by presenters of accepted abstracts must be completed by the early bird registration deadline of 16 August 2024.
Publication
By submitting an abstract/paper, authors agree to the publication of chosen abstracts/papers on the conference mobile app, book of abstracts and conference proceedings or similar by the fib Symposium 2024.
