Welcome to the 2013 Electricity Engineers’ Association Conference and Trade Exhibition the premier power engineering event for the New Zealand electricity supply industry. This year’s Conference is a special celebration of 125 years of public electricity supply in New Zealand. Our theme is ‘Electricity Past and Future’ and it provides an opportunity to reflect on the impact electricity has had on society; how far power engineering and technology has come and where it is going to in the future. It is also an opportunity to celebrate our industry and its people. Conference provides a three day national forum for engineering practitioners and technical experts to examine and discuss industry issues, developments and technologies in the field of power engineering. You will have the opportunity to hear local and overseas industry leaders; participate in an extensive trade exhibition showcasing technology, services and equipment from around the world; listen and participate in a range of technical and engineering papers and discussion forums; network with people from the local and overseas electricity industry community; and help us celebrate electricity’s 125 year history of contribution to New Zealand.
